Actually, I am. That's not the problem. Apparently, there's supposed to be a file called firewall, in runlevel 2, that calls two scripts, both S-somethings (like S40SuSEfirewall or similar), which are in two other directories. Only, there ain't no "firewall" file in the runlevel 2 directory, and there aren't any S-prefix SuSEfirewall files. Does anyone know where could they have gone, and how can I get them back?
TIA
AFAIK starting with 7.1 the runlevel scheme has changed (it is not level 2 but now level 3. Marc's firewall is for 7.0 and above and you have to adapt it to your needs in order to have it run with versions below 7.1 . Here are the locations and names for Marc's SuSEfirewall 4.6 /sbin/init.d/rc2.d/K99SuSEfirewall_setup /sbin/init.d/rc2.d/S01SuSEfirewall_init /sbin/init.d/rc2.d/S04SuSEfirewall_setup /sbin/init.d/rc2.d/S99SuSEfirewall_final /sbin/init.d/rc3.d/K99SuSEfirewall_setup /sbin/init.d/rc3.d/S01SuSEfirewall_init /sbin/init.d/rc3.d/S04SuSEfirewall_setup /sbin/init.d/rc3.d/S99SuSEfirewall_final /sbin/init.d/rc4.d/K99SuSEfirewall_setup /sbin/init.d/rc4.d/S01SuSEfirewall_init /sbin/init.d/rc4.d/S04SuSEfirewall_setup /sbin/init.d/rc4.d/S99SuSEfirewall_final /sbin/init.d/rc5.d/K99SuSEfirewall_setup /sbin/init.d/rc5.d/S01SuSEfirewall_init /sbin/init.d/rc5.d/S04SuSEfirewall_setup /sbin/init.d/rc5.d/S99SuSEfirewall_final -- Togan Muftuoglu
