Which you launch how?
* Error: the "FusionIcon" module is missing. If you did not install fusion-icon to /usr, you may need to add the appropriate site-packages directory to your PYTHONPATH
I'd try launching fusion-icon from the command line under strace contol like so: strace -o fusion-icon.trace -f -e trace=file fusion-icon fusion-icon.trace should show you what file is tried to open and on which path. Maybe that gives you a clue what is going wrong.
