But on Firefox on my phone, the same syntax does not work and does a google search instead. I can not find my own server on IPv6 from outside.
If you have an Android phone, it won't work with DHCPv6.
Why not? It gets an IPv6 address.
For some reason, Android only supports stateless autoconfig, not DHCPv6. AFAIR, the ICMPv6 Router Advertisement isn't processed correctly, but I have not looked at this for over ten years.
Mind: When I have said in this thread "dhcp" in this thread, I have no idea what protocol my router actually uses to hand over automatically IPv6 address and routes and whatever. I said dhcp because that is the only method I know.
I'll venture a guess and say it is most likely not DHCPv6. There _are_ reasons for using DHCPv6, but I doubt if any apply in a consumer setting.
The problem is Firefox with IPs.
What exactly is the problem you are experiencing? ISTR something about an issue wrt the device name in an address, in a URL. It's a bit hazy, I'll have to google it. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (13.1°C) Member, openSUSE Heroes (2016 - present) We're hiring - https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Heroes
