Has anyone gotten a d-link 614+ router setup to auto notify www.dyndns.org? If so, how. I've tried all their things in the faq, and other sources, with absolutely no luck. All I get in the log is DDNS: no host.
You are confused or my system (.no-ip.org) works differently. I have a deamon, /usr/local/bin/start.noip2, installed in /etc/init.d/boot.local that runs at boot to check my address and notify no-ip.org if it changes. <Knock on wood> But, in two years it has not changed. I was asked by roadrunner once when talking to a tech about virus infected locations attempting access to my machine if I would like them to change but I declined. I am almost certain that dydns.org operates the same way. I am sure that someone will correct me if I am in error here. -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org
