Are people compiling sound in by non-modular means also experiencing problems? Just wondered. This appears only to affect people who are using modularized sound with their kernels.
I compiled sound support (SB, Midi and MU401) into my kernel on two boxes with identical soundcards, each having a wavetable daughter card on board. One works, one doesn't. Guess which one is working, and now I know why? The one on the machine where I attempted compiling the kernel with OSS included. Actually, that is probably a fluke since I have no idea how to turn OSS on yet. This thread has, however, inspired me to try. <A HREF="http://www.millsphoto.com</A">http://www.millsphoto.com</A> - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
