This hasn't hit the group in awhile, but I just upgraded from 6.1 to 6.2 and lost my zip drive. I finally got it working in 6.1, but don't remember exactly how. I have all the articles and info I could find on the web...reams of paper and just want to ask the group before I pull out all
When I do dmesg I get: . . scsi : 0 hosts scsi : detected total. Partition check: Had: hda1 hda2 hda3 VFS: Mounted root (ext2 filesystem) readonly. . . i.e. the zip drive does not come up. (it does work in DOS and Win98

also when I run insmod ppa I get the "unresolved symbols" messages...also
with insmod imm and insmod lp. Hmm...Ugly.
What am I doing wrong? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
The first thing I'd try is to rebuild your kernel. This seems excessive, and if you are still under SuSE's support contract (and plan to take advantage of it), generally a bad idea. -=|JP|=- (Resident GNUbie) Jon Pennington | SuSE Linux 6.2 jon_pennington@excite.com | Kernel 2.2.10+ Kansas City, Missouri, USA | K6-2 350 ________________________________________________________________ Get FREE voicemail, fax and email at http://voicemail.excite.com Talk online at http://voicechat.excite.com -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
