I tested some more. I can get the printer to print when I install it via Cups, using lpd. I will do more tests tomorrow.
Print quality and speed are good.
I have to *manually* supply ip for my hp officejet pro 8620 on hplip and it work wonderfully. Previous color laserjet pro also required manually providing ip, whereas cups find both w/o help. Just check router for ip.
Same here. I tell hplip the IP and then it is happy. I also tell it what kind of connection. (jet direct I belive is the choice I select) And also, I have to install hpaio package if I want to use scanner, and that works perfectly with xsane Vuescan, or Scanlite. -- After all is said and done, more is said than done. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
