Listmates,
I thought I would load beta3 and help with some bug reports, but I seem to be having difficulty getting it. I am using aria2c for the first time and it seems very slow:

At this rate it will take 7 days 6 hours to complete the download. Is there a way I can speed it up? Is it just a problem with needing more people seeding? It sure would be helpful to have an iso.
I've just started downloading beta3 via bittorrent - I'm getting 100K/s downstream, which is a little slow. I could ftp it with at least 500K/s. But I'm not in a hurry.

It would be helpful if you would tell the list what speed your internet connection is. Are you using dialup at 52Kbps? If you have a connection like Per Jessen, then it is really slow for you! The initial speeds of a download are many times much slower than what they will be if you just let it download. Some people will be happy to send you a burned cd or dvd just for the postage or even postage paid, since you want to help do bug reports. You might ask the list for someone to send you a cd or dvd with snail mail. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
