Related: is there a way to "rebalance" a LVM?
It's been a while since I've used LVM, but I thought that was one of it's features, in that it was easy to resize partitions.
Resize != "re-balance". I take it Mathias meant "re-balance" = distribute the data equally (more or less) over the PVs available.
Please do read the 'lvcreate' man page. In particular look at 'contiguous' and 'stripe' and how metadata is going to be handled. -- A: Yes. > Q: Are you sure? >> A: Because it reverses the logical flow of conversation. >>> Q: Why is top posting frowned upon? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
