As I said in my reply email to him, that's exactly what I *didn't* do. Quotes are fair if they represent what was said, in the context it was said, and don't change the meaning of what was said. Just picking out individual words and phrases someone has said and joining them together to make them look like something totally different isn't a quote. Had I done that, I'd fully deserve his wrath.
