For clarification, by open do you mean extract the attachment to the local drive or network drive, or open the attachment with another application?
Even worse... I mean just clicking on the e-mail containing attachment, I don't even touch attachment, it just won't even show me the text in the e-mail...
OK, second question what is your mail delivery setup? This looks too me like a corrupt mailbox/msf file related problem. I maintain my mail on a maildir based IMAP setup. After lots of experience dealing users with trashed file based mail folders with different mail clients I would never touch such a approach again. (OK I get local msf folder files but least if one of these breaks I can rebuild from the maildir server version if required). If the original is an mbox or a server based file mailfolder style configuration accessed via IMAP. Then if the original mailbox is borked then it is quite likely that that any rebuild from the original copy will be borked as well..... - -- ============================================================================== I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
