Actually I would disagree from experience, matrox's Mellinum 1 was an incredible card, the mistique and Milluinum II both failed pretty bad, Might I suggest a good ATI card thanks Chris At 02:41 PM 6/18/98 -0500, you wrote:
nvidia makes the riva128 board, and overall it is a nice card. Visual quality in 3d applications is somewhat poor compared to 3dfx and rendition. Matrox makes, hands down, the nicest 2d board money can buy. If you are concerned with 3d, then chances are you already have a 3dfx voodoo card, so for 2d I would recommend matrox. It would be worth waiting a month to get the new matrox g200, which hasn't hit the market yet but will be here soon. -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
