Hi all,
I have 2 ISP's, an ADSL and a Cable. I want to set up an openSUSE 11.2 SUSEfirewall2 with 3 NIC's; 2 for the ISP's and 1 for the DMZ.
How can I create a failover when one ISP falls out, and keep the SUSEfirewall2 active for both, or failover to the active NIC. [snip] Is it possible to have a load ballance between the ISP's, and that the one takes full load if the other fails, also then providing a failover as above.
Simple questions, answers less so:
What you're after is completely achieveable, even if somewhat complicated.

Thanx Per, as you say, slightly complicated - but the LARTC site will definitely have all the info I require; ... was hoping for a shorter How-To .. but it seems that there is no easy way out, than to get to know the basics and then look at these advanced issues. Linux forces self education. The opensource community provides the hints where to look. When I get stuck, I will ask some clarifying questions. :-) Al -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
