I just got a Thinkpad X200 and decided to replace the harddisk with a 32GB SDD. It's fast, boots fast and the machine has a fantastic battery life (over 4.5 hours with the original battery). It's very quiet too. I've installed 11.1 + KDE 3.5.9 but I am still fighting with some smaller issues: - I regularely see messages on boot that some partitions were not unmounted correctly, despite the fact that the shutdown seemed to be absolutely normal. Note that the check messages refer to "disk-by-ID-...." while I replaced these in fstab with /dev/sda_x, but I don't know if this can be a cause. - After resuming from sleep (suspend to RAM), the computer seems to be OK, but some links in the documents (specifically pictures embedded in OOo documents) are broken. Rebooting cures the problem. I was wondering if anyone has experience with the use of an SDD and could tell me if the cause of these annoyances could be the Thinkpad, the SDD, OpenSuse or perhaps a mix of all three...
