On the subject of Borland JBuilder 4.0 I found that it needed a minimum of 128 Mb memory to run on Windows, whereas Visual Cafe got by with 64 Mb. Does anybody know whether there is a Linux version of Visual Cafe? JBuilder runs slow even with 128 Mb.memory on a Pentium 233 Mhz. CPU and Windows. Samy Elashmawy wrote:

Hi,
I just installed JBuilder 4 on my SuSE 7.0 box, I wonder if someone else here has done that and in that case has any tips or warnings to share......:-)
I have it installed on 6.4, don't have 7.0 yet (waiting for 2.4!). No problems, runs like a dream, you do need a bucket load of memory though, but that is the same with most Java apps.
Cheers
Phil
