Kelly, Switched my network and wintv cards around so that the wintv card is now in a pci slot which is not sharing an IRQ. This appears to have fixed the problem. Many thanks Tim On Mon, 2003-05-05 at 12:18, Kelly L. Fulks wrote:

Hi,
Following a hardware upgrade (motherboard) of one of my systems I am having an issue with sound when using TV applications, (i.e. kwintv or motv). Whilst I am getting a reasonable picture no matter what I try I cannot hear anything.

Any ideas what I can do to get this working?
Many thanks

p.s. I have included below the relevent sections of /var/log/messages and /etc/modules.conf as well as an lsmod output in the hope someone can spot something (probably obvious) that I'm missing

It would appear that you might have several things sharing IRQ 10. You can check that in /proc/interrupts. I had problems with my WinTV card when it was sharing an IRQ, so I had to rearrange things to clear up the problem. My problem was with the picture though and the WinTV card was sharing the IRQ with the sound card.
