I've recently installed Leap and VLC with it, but it's refusing to play a video. I went looking for codecs and am becoming even more confused. There seem to be several possible sources and dire warnings not to mix sources. And advice on different pages differs.
You just have to install VLC from packman, as has been for years. If /you/ prefer, install it from videolan instead. Do not mix pacakges from packman or videolan: choose one. Most people choose packman.
