Listmates, I received a new Lenovo T400 from work. It came loaded with Win 7, 4 GB, 128 GB SSD, and AT&T broadband. Everything worked out of the box with openSUSE-x86_64, except for the AT&T mobile broadband card. After using lsusb, lsal, and YAST I discovered that the card is a Qualcomm HS-USB 9201. I did some research and found that I could use the Gobi firmware loader to get the card to work. I was able to use the firmware from Win 7 and the gobi plugin for modem-manager to get the modem working with wvdial and Knetworkmanager. After a reboot I was unable to use the modem and the mobile broadband tab in knetworkmanager is disabled. The system still sees the card and maps it to /dev/ttyUSB0, however I have been unable to it because it appears that the firmware is no longer getting loaded. Any help is appreciated. I really want to stop having to dual boot only to use this WWAN card and go back to having only openSUSE and Winblows VM on my PC.
