[reply to in list messages]
The reason for this is because of improperly configured mailservers or mailservers with small limits o nthe users mailboxes. What has happened in the past is that when a message would bounce, it would reply back to the list, thus flooding the list with (sometimes) hundreds of messages about Jo Schmoes email box being too full or what not. To prevent this, the list has opted to change the Reply-To list to a Reply-To sender so that the message's being bounced wouldn't end up on the list itself. If it's that much a bother, you can always have procmail add a Reply-To for you so that it will be the way you want, but you may want to make sure your system is properly configured or you'll one day realize that you were removed from the list.
Ah! here is another of the List-Old-Timers remembering the good old days when on a friday night in winter were all the SuSE staff was on hollidays or cought the flue Joe Smith mailbox ran over and created a mail loop... ;-) Oh boy, it's boring now! Here is the procmail receipt genorously mailed to the list in those days when the galactical empire was a galactical empire, real man were real man, real women real women and real furry creatures from alpha centauri were guess what ... ;-) :0f * ^X-Mailinglist: suse-linux-e | formail -bfi "Reply-To: SuSE Linux English <suse-linux-e@suse.com>" continue to enjoy!
