want to install 9.2 from DVD on a machine that doesn't have a DVD reader. On a machine that does, I set up vsftpd and then started a manual install from CD on the machine that doesn't. Any suggestions?
I had the same problem, had to install from cd's...
Sorry for piggy backing this on your article Brad. I think what you both want is the network install, which has worked for me on 9.0. You need to export the DVD drive as NFS. You'll need to know what the network address is and path to the DVD drive as you would need to mount it NFS on another machine. You'll want to load your nic-module on the target system. It's pretty forward, and I chose the default install for software, but did custom partitioning.
