YOU does the equivalent of "zypper patch". To do the equivalent of "zypper up" in YaST package manager (qt version) you right-click on the list of packages, and select all tin this list update if newer.
YOU probably means Yast. Means Yast updates the currently installed things (which is in the system), while 'zypper up' installs the newer version(s), if available to those applications which are already present in the system. PCLinuxOS uses the RPM system, and Synaptic for the installer. Simple: Select the program from the list, click on it, select install and apply, and Bob's your uncle! (You never even see the raw rpm file.)
Yes, that's correct but here, in PCLinuxOS which you quote, what is working equivalent to 'zypper in openSUSE'? Thanks. -- Life and death. At some point we're gonna leave this world. Do I know when?
