Somehow my /tmp dir is full of junk:

If I try rm * I get a bunch of errors.
On other UNIX systems, I have used od -c /tmp to show me the exact contents of the driectory, then used that info to delete the files.
How do I delete these files in Linux.
Try with "rm -- \?\?*" -- Richard Bos Without a home the journey is endless
