Hello, I just send two minor bugs but this one is a BAD one. Konqueror is fscked in some odd way. I use the updated packages from supp*/KDE/*7.3/ and update/ The bug appeared while updating my KDE packages in December. I since then updated again just last night and the bug still exists. Normal Events in KDE: I log into KDE as normal user and use Konq. Everything works normal. I describe the process which is important to this bug how it should work. 1. Open Konq. 2. S 0:00 kdeinit: kio_uiserver As you can see the processes created by the new window I requested have not been handed off to the 'kio_uiserver' and vanished into neverland. Bug, Ich hoer Dir trapsen!!! This was no problem with the original SuSE 7.3 packages. This bug appeared with an update from the update/ or supp*/KDE/ section in December 2001. I am tired of it as it makes browsing the web annoying. Hasn't anybody experienced this but me? I figure the problem is that when KDE loads it loads some hand-off process which handles Konq actions to load new windows for the kio_uiserver. But if one uses a non-KDE window environment one misses out on the default KDE settings. The process handler might not be loaded and simply starting Konq in a non-KDE window environment doesn't load the required handler to process "(RIGHT-CLICK LINK AND OPEN IN) New Window" functions.
