Just follow the code and you will get all the things you need. You are the issuer, so do you need to send it to someone or to yourself No. just keep the CA file in handy place, you may need it again. But the main question is if it is your internal lan why do you even need ssl certificate at all. just set dovecot not to listen ssl ports and don't ask for tls settings.
