Using USB mouse on SuSE 6.4 is not a problem, if you follow this single steps: 1) get the 2.2.16 kernel (ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/update/6.4/kernel-2.2.16/???.rpm whatever you need) 2) get the devices update (ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/update/6.4/a1/devs.rpm) 3) install both 4) read the /usr/src/linux/Documentation/usb/input.txt 5) follow the steps 6) enable USB IRQ in the BIOS 7) You are done. I do have working an USB printer, an USB scanner, an USB mouse an USB camera and for the kids, USB gamepads. And they all works. "Bryan S. Tyson" wrote:

Is anybody using a USB mouse successfully with suse 6.4?
I could not get my Microsoft IntelliEye USB mouse to work. Fortunately it came with a PS2 adapter, and I have been using it as a PS2 with no problems.
