Before I really get into this, plan on "your mileage WILL vary." ;) The new Intel driver, iwl3945 is still a work in progress but there are some improvements. It does appear that once you have defined (configured) a hidden access point in KNetworkmanager and it has connected to that access point, the next time you return to that location and bring up the laptop, it will find it and attempt to connect.....successfully so far for me. It also will display the access point WITH the SSID. This is an improvement over the standard ifup method. The downside is that the driver doesn't seem to be as stable as the old driver....(with KNetworkmanger)...drops connection occasionally. But this MAY have more to do with KNetworkmanger than the driver. Using the standard ifup method, the driver is solid as a "grape ape!" ;) Fred -- A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
