Happened to find this program [for both: Linux (only Ubuntu) and Windows)], called 'phatch' (Photo Batch Resizer)-http://photobatch.stani.be/. Seems a versatile program, unfortunately no package ported for oS so far. Found it on this blog art - "Top 50 Linux Alternatives to MS Apps" http://jjmacey.net/blog/?p=179.

This is the message I get: "Installation not possible for your version ...." (1-click install). Earlier I tried to install by doing Google search to find the package/repo for openSUSE. It seems phatch 0.1.3 (only version available for openSUSE) requires Python < 2.6, and version of Python I have (oS 11.1) is above that. This is the dependency resolver box msg on trying to install from http://ftp5.gwdg.de./pub/opensuse/repositories/multimedia:/photo/SUSE_Factor.... Guess it will have to wait till next release of oS.
