[opensuse] NetworkManager GNOME Not Connecting Until User Intervention

nm-applet (0.6.5) on GNOME isn't connecting to my wireless network until I have to go in and manually choose the network on the list of networks. Even after choosing it though, occasionally it won't stay connected the first time, it will connect then immediately disconnect, before I connect again. Any thoughts? This is on openSUSE 10.3.
