I am WELL on the way to being a "Linux" man all the way. I can connect to my ISP fine, and send and receive POP3 e-mail flawlessly. I have a couple questions: 1. How do I start Netscape Navagator from the KDE desktop, because that is where I connect from, using kpppd and I like its' layout (very comprehensive). Alternatively, can I connect from KDE and switch to FWM, or whatever and start it from there since there are icons to do so?
You rightclick on the desktop and choose "new -> program". In the dialogbox you type Netscape.kdelink. On the execute-tab of the newly created icon type in the path to netscape. On my installation it is: /opt/netscape/Netscape.
2. When I try to play a music CD, I get the error message FATAL ERROR Cannot stat (sic) device /dev/rcd0. Is there some kind of workaround to this. Listening to cd isn't THAT important, but...
I am using S.u.S.E. 5.3 Evaluation Copy, and as far as I can tell, everything else works fine. Gates, your time is running out on my machine.
