[Jun 03. 2002 20:46]: According to this page: http://download.kde.org/stable/3.0.1/SuSE/README Then SuSE 8.0 users can install KDE 3.0.1 via YOU.
But it doesn't seem to be true. Do I expect too much from YOU ?
Yes, YOU is not for this kind of update.
What would one use, outside of APT, to ONLY update what's on a given box?
Well, let me quote from the above URL: SuSE 8.0 users can install KDE 3.0.1 via YOU. It will be avaible as soon as we have finished our testing. YOU is only downloading changed files (using rpm-patch) to decrease the needed bandwidth. So until this is enabled, YOU is only for security updates/bugfixes. Until then I would simply download them manually and do an rpm -Fvh *.rpm in the directory where they reside. -- Mads Martin Jørgensen, http://mmj.dk "Why make things difficult, when it is possible to make them cryptic and totally illogic, with just a little bit more effort?" -- A.
