Re: HP Deskjet 970 Cxi
I don't use this much, since I have little use for color, and inkjet printers are expensive to operate. However, it worked about 4 weeks ago. Tried to bring it up tonite, and the orange and green lights flash in unison no matter what I do. Went to HP website--they had two solutions, neither of which worked. Have tried the machine on two computers, both of which used to drive it. I _really_ do not want to buy another color printer for the twice a year or so I would use it. (I've already thrown out an almost new Epson because I could not clear one of the ink-jets. I thought HP would solve that, since the ink jets are in the cartridge.) HP "solutions" do not seem to imply a cartridge problem altho that could still be possible.
Off the record -- I fill my cartridges with ink. It saves a lot of money. Just as a thought, you might want to try to print a page or two using all colours every two weeks or so in the future in order to prevent the colour in the head of drying out. The advantage of HP inkjet printers, as you noticed, it that they keep heads in the cartridge. Theoretically, new ones should solve your problem.
