Estimados amigos, Estoy avanzando más o menos en Linux, me encanta, pero ahora me encuentro con otro problema que no se como solucionar, y aparentemente está tirado, pero... he buscado por internet y no lo logro solucionar, el tema está en que en el ordenador fijo tengo linux y tambien en el portatil y conectado al fijo tengo una impresora HP Deskjet 640 que quiero conectar en red, los ordenadores están en red. Desde el fijo se puede imprimir sin problemas y el asunto está hacerlo en red, desde el portatil. Por ahí he visto soluciones a mi problema, pero bueno no son soluciones porque algunos lo hacen con el SAMBA otros sin el SAMBA pero como puedo imprimir y configurar desde el portatil una impresora de otro ordenador. A partir de la SuSE 7.3 está disponible CUPS como sistema de impresión, por lo hacerlo es muy fácil.

Si instalaste una SuSE 9.x en el portatil mientras estaba conectado a la red, el proceso debía de haberse hecho de forma automática.

YaST -> Hardware -> Impresora y le dices al portátil que quieres imprimir a través de un servidor CUPS remoto. Otra posibilidad es abrir la dirección "localhost:631" en tu navegador, aunque la configuración por defecto no permite determinadas funciones en máquinas remotas. Una vez configurado, al imprimir desde el portatil, te saldrán automáticamente todas las impresoras disponibles en tu red. Saludos. Miquel.
