Donde ubico la primer pagina que devuelve Apache ?
Tengo Suse 7.0 y Apache 1.3.12 release 97 y cuando accedo a esta maquina con 192.168.0.2 (dirección IP de la misma), me devuelve una pagina presentación de Suse y me dice que se esta ejecutando Apache. Ahora mi consulta seria la siguiente : Para que me devuelva otra pagina, en donde debo ubicar la misma., o sea , donde esta el directorio donde apache saca por primera vez index.html que le devuelve al usuario? -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Busca un archivo llamado "httpd.conf" en /etc (en mi instalación es /etc/apache2/http.conf) y busca una línea que dice DocumentRoot "/srv/www/htdocs" Ahí puedes configurar el directorio raíz del servidor web. Lo puedes cambiar (aunque no estoy seguro de si debas cambiar los permisos del nuevo directorio o algo así) o poner ahí mismo tu página de inicio. Espero haberte ayudado. En /etc/httpd/httpd.conf configuras dónde quieres poner tus documentos. Eso lo dices en la línea, que por defecto está así: DocumentRoot "/usr/local/httpd/htdocs" pabloingelhorn wrote:

Exacto. En Debian y Slackware tienes el path de tu webserver de apache en /var/www pero en SuSE lo tienes en /usr/local/httpd/htdocs/ Aquí puedes borrarlo todo y comenzar de nuevo, es decir, puedes poner tu index.html y al ejecutar en tu navegador preferido el "http://localhost" verías visualizarse tu página automáticamente, ya que, sea en SuSE como en Debian, como en HP-UX (las que yo conozco) con solo instalar el apache, ya tienes el servicio http levantado y listo.
