Help with interactive Yast in SuSE 9.3
Hi all, I found a problem working with the interactive mode of the Yast configuration console. Let me show you how I am trying to manage with this console: My task is to configure the ntp-client of a Suse 9.3, without the graphical support of Yast2 program (or pseudo-graphical for plain Yast). So I proceded in this way: gulu1:~ # yast ntp-client interactive YaST2 ntp-client> Like that, it is opened the "Yast console". It is suppossed that you can run the same actions than in the graphical interface. But now I found a problem. When I check for help for the 'add' command to include a new ntp server: YaST2 ntp-client> add help YaST Configuration Module ntp-client ------------------------------------- Command 'add' Add new synchronization relationship Options: server [string] The address of the server peer [string] The address of the peer broadcast [string] The address to which to broadcast broadcastclient [string] The address from which to accept broadcasts options [string] The options of the relationship fudge [string] Options for clock driver calibration initial Use the server for initial synchronization help Print the help for this command verbose Show progress information YaST2 ntp-client> then I try the "add server" command but it is not possible for me to finish it properly!! YaST2 ntp-client> add server 1.1.1.1 Unknown option for command 'add': 1.1.1.1 YaST2 ntp-client> add server 'my_ntp_server' Unknown option for command 'add': 'my_ntp_server' YaST2 ntp-client> add server my_ntp_server Unknown option for command 'add': my_ntp_server YaST2 ntp-client> add server "my_ntp_server" Unknown option for command 'add': my_ntp_server I tried with all the possibilities I can figure out, and all the time I am finding the same problem when I try to type the [string] parameter for the command. My question is: How can I input the [string] parameter in this "Yast console"? Thanks for your help!
