Automatischer Start von VNC (vncserver) beim Hochfahren unter SuSE Linux 8.1
Hi, Ich habe folgendes Problem: Die Installation von VNC (virtual network computing) klappte reibungslos (über die SuSE-DVD) und auch das Starten von vncserver "per Hand" funktioniert ohne Probleme. Daher meine Frage, in welches Startup-Skript bzw. wie kann Ich es erreichen, dass das Programm vncserver beim Hochfahren meines SuSE 8.1 Linux automatisch gestartet wird ? Übrigens, Ich benutze SuSE Linux 8.1 Professional. Vielen Dank -Stephan Huber

Zumindest bis zur 7.2 war's so. ich hab hier als quickhack das skeletonscript umgebastelt. funktioniert für mich, wenn es auch nicht gerade sauber gemacht ist. Verbesserungen erwünscht.

In der Datei /etc/X11/xdm/Xservers machst Du einen anderen Eintrag bzw fügst eine solchen hier hinzu:
:2 local /usr/X11R6/bin/Xvnc -depth 32 -geometry 1024x768 :2 (Die fuer Dich geeigneten Parameter und Optionen mußt Du fuer Dich selbst ausknobeln) ":2" gibt den port an auf dem VNC nachher zu erreichen ist!
und dann kopierst Du die Datei /etc/X11/xdm/Xsetup als Xsetup_"portnummer" (in diesem Beispiel Xsetup_2) und kommentierst folgende Zeilen aus:
#Fuer den Xvnc muß der folgende Teil auskommentiert werden: if test -f $sysmodmap -a -x $xmodmap ; then $xmodmap $sysmodmap fi
als letztes noch den YAST aufrufen und von ASCII login auf Grafischen Login umstellen...;-)
