9.0: kdm ist verschwunden...
Hallo Liste, ich habe hier ein merkwürdiges Problem: Nach einigem herumexperimentieren mit dem NVIDIA-Treiber (in verschiedenen Versionen) habe ich beim starten von Tuxracer nen Kernel-Panic erlebt. (In den Logs ist nichts zu finden, die wurden mit in den Abgrund gerissen.) Beim Reboot startete mir mein X nicht mehr. Nach deinstallation des NVIDIA-Treibers und anschliessendem Reboot startet jetzt im RunLevel 5 standartmässig XDM. (Manuelles killen von XDM und Eingabe von kdm auf der Konsole startet dann doch der kdm, und ich kann mit KDE arbeiten.) Im Yast ist im Runlevel-Editor als Standart "RL 5 mit XDM" eingetragen, aber den KDM kann ich nirgendwo auswählen... Frage: Wie kriege ich es hin, dass im RL 5 wieder ganz normal mein KDM+KDE startet (ohne das durch ein script a la "killall xdm && kdm" zu flicken)? Kann mir da jemand nen Tip geben? Gruss Mario

welcher Displaymanager ist denn in /etc/sysconfig/displaymanager eingetragen. Falls Hier 'xdm' eingetragen ist, einfach auf 'kdm' aendern und anschliessend mit rcxdm resart Dein X erneut starten. I reassign null to be the tape device - it's so much more economical on my time as I don't have to keep getting up toc hange tapes every 5 minutes.
