nach crash - server l�sst sich nicht mehhr booten
Hallo Linux-Gemeinde! Also mein Problem: Mein Server SuSE-Linux 7.3 ist gecrasht. Normales reboot - dann fsck - mitten unter fsck wird abgebrochen und neu gebootet imer wieder unde wieder. Ich nehme mal an dass einige Bibliotheken welche von fsck - oder fsck selbst beim crash zerzört wurden. Wer kann mir sagen welche Bibliotheken ich neu auf die Platte schreiben muss bzw. welche Bibliotheken von fsck benötigt werden. Bitte um Hilfe, bevor ich noch wah..s...ig werde. :-) mfg, Andreas.

Dann wirst Du wohl von der Disk/CD/DVD booten und das Notfallsystem starten müssen.
Ich nehme mal an dass einige Bibliotheken welche von fsck - oder fsck selbst beim crash zerzört wurden.
Nicht auszuschliessen, wobei ich denke, dass fsck statisch gelinkt ist und keine Bibliotheken braucht, alles andere wäre etwas riskant.

War nett gemeint von Dir, aber sooo trivial ist die Geschichte leider nicht. Ich will damit sagen, dass ich natürlich schon das 'YoMama' (Rettungssystem) laufen habe aber e2fsck meint jetzt, dass der Superblock entweder corrupt sei oder eben kein ext2-fs auf der platte ist. Auch beim alternativen 2. Superblock die gleiche unangenehme Meldung. Ich kann aber die Platte ganz normal mounten!?! - Komisch. Ich hoffe doch, dass dies nicht die Auswirkungen des 1. ernstzunehmenden Viruses auf Linux sind. - Würde mich aber nicht wundern. Das System hängt ja permanent am Internet - zwar über Router mit Firewall - aber nichts ist 100%-ig sicher. Naja, dann werdi ich halt mal anfangen alles zu retten was noch zu retten ist. Meine wichtigen Daten liegen ja sowieso auf anderen Platten mit reiserfs. :-) Danke für Eure Mühe und vielleicht hatte jemand schon mal das gleiche Problem und fand eine bessere Lösung als neu zu installieren. [ ... ] Hallo Andreas, nehme an, Du hast ext2 als Dateisystem. In man e2fsck stehen die Superblocks 8193, 16384 und 32768 drin. Hatte schon mal das gleiche Problem wie Du beschreibst, bei einer grösseren Platte. Evtl. musst Du es noch mit den anderen, grösseren Superblocks, ich glaube 65536 oder noch grösser probieren. Ansonsten habe ich mittlerweile auch für das Systemlaufwerk auf ext3 umgestellt, damit solche Crashes vermieden werden (und man sich dafür andere Probleme einhandelt). ... und wenn alles nichts hilft, einfach das Freitags-Backup von gestern einspielen ;-))) Ooooops, muss gleich los, mein letztes Backup ist auch schon länger als ein paar Tage her. Hat sich anders erledigt. Mein System ist von SuSE 6.4 schrittweise geupdated auf SuSE 7.3 und auch alle wichtigen Patches von SuSE wurden eingespielt. Die Version meines e2fsck ist 1.19 nochetwas :-) und die Version des e2fsck auf der Rescue-Disk ist 1.10 und wieder nochetwas. Scheinbar ist auch die Version von ext2 nicht mehr die gleiche.
Ansonsten habe ich mittlerweile auch für das Systemlaufwerk auf ext3 umgestellt, damit solche Crashes vermieden werden (und man sich dafür andere Probleme einhandelt).
Dann lass ich es lieber, die altbekannten Prolemchen kennt man schon. :-))

Danke, hat genützt. Allerdings lag der Fehler in der Hardware. Mein Promise ATA DMA 100 hat scheinbar den Geist aufgegeben. :-( Hab einstweilen meinen CD-Brenner in die Rente geschickt amit wieder ein Platz frei ist für die Platte. Schönen Tag noch. Ups...
