Hallo zusammen, das ntop strapaziert wirklich meine Nerven. Trotz folgender Meldung kann ich ntop nicht mit http://meineIP:3000 starten. Stadt dessen sehe ich meine eihene Homepage. Was mache ich falsch? Was muß ich eingeben um ntop in meinem Browser sehen zu können. Trotz folgender Meldung kann ich ntop nicht mit http://meineIP:3000 starten.

Stadt dessen sehe ich meine eihene Homepage. Was mache ich falsch? Was muß ich eingeben um ntop in meinem Browser sehen zu können.

Dann ist ntopd wharscheinlich nicht richtig installiert. Ich benutze ntop nicht, aber bei mir liegt der daemon in /sbin/init.d. Gib mal in der bash ein: 'locate ntopd' Dann sollte unter anderem folgendes erscheinen: /sbin/init.d/ntopd /sbin/init.d/rc2.d/K20ntopd /sbin/init.d/rc2.d/S20ntopd /sbin/init.d/rc3.d/K20ntopd /sbin/init.d/rc3.d/S20ntopd Was erscheint bei Dir?

Wie kann ich mein ntop so starten, daß ich es in meinem Browser mit http://meineIP:3000 sehen und bedienen kann?

Den daemon kannst Du entweder auf der console oder in der bash mit '/sbin/init.d/ntopd start' starten oder SuSE bietet die Möglichkeit ntopd in der rc.config zu starten. # start the ntopd (yes|no) START_NTOPD="no" Einfach auf yes setzen, dann wird der ntopd beim Systemstart gestartet.

Ich vermisse in dieser Aufgabe "/etc/init.d/ntopd". Ich würde Dir empfehlen, mittels YaST das ntop-Paket zu deinstallieren und neu zu installieren. Und dann ganz vorsichtig erstmal 'locate' um zu sehen, ob alles da ist, dann '/etc/init.d/ntopd start' und '/etc/init.d/ntopd status. Dann 'lsof -P -n -i', wenn Du offline bist.

Zur Installation habe ich das rpm von SuSE 7.1 verwendet. Ich habe auch noch folgendes probiert:

root@linux01:/home/freespace > ntop -w 3005 -r 10 -l 10 -d root@linux01:/home/freespace > 01/Apr/2001:00:19:15 Bye bye: I'm becoming a daemon...

Da sorgt wahrscheinlich die -d Option dafür, daß ntop als daemon gestartet wird. Ich habe die man-pages nicht gelesen.

Trotzdem bekomme ich auf Port 3005 kein ntop zu sehen.

Wenn unter /etc/init.d/ ntopd gestartet ist, dann kannst Du als root auf der console einfach ntop eingeben und es wird gestartet. Deine Installation ist kaputt! Auch Hallo, also, ich gebe (per Script) ein: /usr/sbin/nettrafd -D und er wird dann auch auf dem Webbrowser ausgegeben. In etc/rc.config steht bei mir: NTOPD_IFACE eth1 NTOPD_Port 3000 START_NTOP yes damit müsste es gehen. Gruß Soan

das ntop strapaziert wirklich meine Nerven.

Trotz folgender Meldung kann ich ntop nicht mit http://meineIP:3000 starten.

Stadt dessen sehe ich meine eihene Homepage. Was mache ich falsch? Was muß ich eingeben um ntop in meinem Browser sehen zu können. root@linux01:/home/freespace > ntop -w 3000 -r 10 -l 10
