Proftpd startet nicht aus Inetd

Hallo Liste, wenn ich Proftp aus der Inetd starten will bekomme ich folgende Meldung in der Messages: Apr 18 10:19:50 pc-websrv01 proftpd[13598]: pc-websrv01.netz - ProFTPD killed (signal 15) Apr 18 10:19:50 pc-websrv01 proftpd[13598]: pc-websrv01.netz - ProFTPD 1.2.2 standalone mode SHUTDOWN Warum? In der Proftpd.conf habe ich den Server auf Standalone gestellt, dir Inetd.conf so: ftp stream tcp nowait root /usr/sbin/tcpd proftpd Danke schonmal, Bye Stefan -- ---------------------------------------------------- Was nicht fliegen kann, stürzt auch nicht ab....... Warum? In der Proftpd.conf habe ich den Server auf Standalone gestellt, dir Inetd.conf so: ftp stream tcp nowait root /usr/sbin/tcpd proftpd
in der proftpd.conf muss als ServerType inetd drinnestehen, wenn er auch vom inetd gestartet werden soll ;). ciao

ok, ich habe die anderen mails gelesen, deswegen gehe ich auf das fehlerhafte "Standalone" nicht ein. 1) Lege mal Deine Proftpd.conf ins Netz und poste den link oder mail mir die Config an support@stonki.de 2) mach mach: "ps -aux | grep proftpd" und schau ob noch Reste rumschwieren 3) meine inetd.confg (Suse 7.2) sieht so aus: ftp stream tcp nowait root /usr/local/sbin/in.proftpd in.proftpd (ich habe jedoch ProFTPD aus den Sourcen kompiliert, daher ist die Verzeichnisstruktur ein wenig seltsam) 4) Sicher, daß die richtige config genommen wird ? Gerade bei neu kompiliert, denkt ProFTPD das die Config in /usr/local/etc ist. ! Check mal... 5) füge (als letzte Möglichkeit) Deiner inetd.confg das parameter "-d5" zu. Dann müsste in Deiner /var/log/messages die Debug Ausgabe kommen. cu stonki -- deutsche ProFTPD Dokumentation: http://www.stonki.de EFNET: #proftpd

Hier die Proftpd.conf.
In /usr/local/etc steht nichts, ist ein leeres verzeichnis.
Wen nich den Server auf Standalone stelle, klappt er ja.
Nur aus der Inetd net. Alle Eintäge sind genau wie bei Dir.
