Installation hängt (SuSE-9.0)
Hallo, auf meinem Dell 8300 (mit SATA-Platten) hängt die Installation bei der Erkennung der Festplatten. Um dies zu umgehen, muss im Kernel die Option CONFIG_SCSI_EATA eingestellt sein. Wie kann ich die SuSE-Boot-CD so verändern, dass der darauf befindliche Kernel diese Option hat? Oder anders gefragt, wie erstelle ich eine Boot-Diskette, die identisch (mit allen Konfigurationsparametern und Änderungen dem SuSE-Kernel der Boot-CD entspricht, aber diese Kernel-Option eingebaut hat. Evtl. muss dies auch ein aktuellerer Kernel sein als der SuSE-Kernel. Gibt es da eine Möglichkeit? Hallo, habe dazu nur eine Idee. Versuche mal die manuelle installation. Bei dieser Variante kann man den Modulen Parameter zuweisen. Bin aber nicht sicher ob das funktioniert wenn das Installationsmedium/ Bootmedium das IDE Modul verwendet. Könnte aber funktionieren da der Kernel in die Ramdisk geladen wird. M.f.G., Harald.
