Du mußt die ALSA-Module neu kompilieren für den neuen Kernel. Was für ein Alsa nimmst Du denn? 0.5.11 hat bei mir keine unresolved Symbols gebracht (habe erst den neuen Kernel gestartet und dann ALSA für ihn kompiliert)

Wozu brauchst Du die Karte denn in der initrd, bootest Du über ein NFS-Device oder so? Wenn es eine Netzwerkkarte ist, müßtest Du das Modul in der Kernel-Konfiguration unter Network Devices auswählen können.

Alsa-Driver installieren, weiß nicht wie das Paket heißt, falls nicht vorhanden, von www.alsa-project.org laden. Entpacken ./configure --help anschauen und benötigte Optionen ermitteln Im Zweifel ./configure --with-kernel=/usr/src/linux-2.4.9 --with-cards=emu10k1 --with-sequencer=yes --with-oss=yes --with-isapnp=no make dep make clean make make install Deine modules.conf wird ja stimmen, sonst mit alsaconf neu einrichten. Falls du die scr rpms aus dem dem ftp.suse.com/people/tiwai Verzeichnis von Suse meints . cd /usr/src/packages/SPECS rpm -ba alsa.spec während der Kompilation von alsa wird noch ein srcrpm für die Module erstellt das auf gleiche Weise kompiliert wird.
