DHCP ist etwas Overkill für zwei Rechner, oder meinst du nicht? Gib den Netzwerkkarten je eine feste IP-Adresse (z.B. 192.168.1.1 und 192.168.1.2, Netzmakse jeweils 255.255.255.0), geht mit yast. Dann solltest du die Rechner mit "ping jeweils.andere.ip.adresse." anpingen können (sofern die richtigen Treiber geladen sind und die Verkabelung stimmt). Netatalk braucht du übrigens wahrscheinlich nicht, wenn du keine Apples im Netz hast.

Das mit "null Ahnung" merkt man ;-) Aber dafür ist die Liste ja da. Masquerading läuft so, dass Rechner A direkt am Internet hängt. Rechner B schickt jetzt die Datenpakete an Rechner A, und der schickt sie ins Internet und tut so, als ob sie von ihm kommen. Naja, kommt drauf an. Wenn DNS oder IP's oder sonstiges dieser Art sich haeufiger aendert, kann der Hauptrechner dies per DHCP den Clienten mitteilen.

Routing geg. setzen/checken, defaultroutes, IP-Forwarding auf dem Gateway sollte geg. auch noch gemacht werden. Wenn ping nicht geht, z.B. iptraf auf beiden Seiten mitlaufen lassen und mal sehen ob da irgendetwas passiert.
Netatalk braucht du übrigens wahrscheinlich nicht, wenn du keine Apples im Netz hast.
