Hallo, habe ein Asus A7V600 Mainboard, mit einer OnBoard Netzwerkkarte (Gigabit-Lan) Von Yast wird sie als Asustek 3c940 erkannt, und auch konfiguriert. Modul ist SK 98lin. Das habe ich als Marvell Yukon Chipset / SysKonnect SK-98xx Support fest in den Kernel compiliert, so weit so gut. Aber: Pings auf irgendwelche Server funzen nicht, also: Yast anschmeissen, OnBoard-Adapter löschen, eth0 wieder mit 3Com 3c905B besetzen, und ping pingt wieder. Hat wer diesen Adapter mal zum laufen bekommen? Bernhard

Meine Linksys EG1032 Revision 2 (PCI, 32Bit) basiert ebenfalls auf einem Marvell Yukon Chipset. Die Karte war erst mit Kernel 2.4.23 und höher zum Funktionieren zu bewegen. Über das genannte Chipset kann ich nichts sagen. Da die GbE Treiber noch recht neu sind, wäre ein Upgrade auf den neuesten Kernel in jedem Fall anzuraten. Schreib doch das nächste mal deine genaue SuSE Version dazu... Thomas.

Schiet, hab ich vergessen. Ist der Vanilla 2.6.3 Aber: Fest im Kernel will er gar nicht, habe nochmal Kernel mit Modul gebacken. Tat zuerst auch nicht, aber lag daran, dass das Modul beim Start nicht geladen wurde. mk_initrd, jetzt tuts. Bernhard
