E-Mail mit Umlauten wird nur als Anhang empfangen
Hallo Allerseits, Wir haben ein Anwendung, die per "elm" (Kommandozeile) und "sendmail" Nachrichten an einen Mailserver im Kundensystem überträgt. Leider erreichen Nachrichten die Umlaute im Body enthalten den Empfänger nur als Anhang. Werden die Nachrichten über einen anderen Mailserver im Kundensystem verteilt, ist alles in Ordnung. Mir fehlt leider jegliche Idee, welches Glied der Kette diese Umwandlung in einen Anhang vornimmt, und was man dagegen tun kann. Ich bin für jeden Ratschlag dankbar! elm. Nimm nail oder mutt oder ... -dnh -- Wenn ich im Fernsehen 'was zu sagen hätte, dann würde ich neun Nymphomaninnen und einen Schwulen 200 Tage einsperren und nachsehen, was passiert. --Hans Meiser

Das Problem sind Formatierungsanweisungen im Text, die sendmail dazu veranlassen, den Mimetype statt auf plain/text auf application/octet zu setzen. Ich hatte das Problem mit mail, welches ähnlich reagiert. Versuche doch mal mit sendmail -B den Typ auf 7BIT zu setzen. Sandy
