Hallo Liste ! Ich habe 2 SCSI-Drives: sda und sdb. Ich erhalte eine Fehlermeldung beim LILO-Konfigurieren (Master /Boot-Sektor). Siehe auch die Files & Meldungen. Ich habe die Datei boot.b gelöscht, um LILO neu zu installieren. Vorher habe ich eine Meldung erhalten, die besagte, dass /dev/sda keine Festplatte ist !? Dann habe ich noch die /etc/lilo.conf "verbessert" (äh?) und nun läßt sich LILO nicht mehr konfigurieren. lg Harald fdisk /dev/sda: =============== Disk /dev/sda: 255 heads, 63 sectors, 2231 cylinders Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 bytes Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/sda1 1117 1133 136552+ 82 Linux swap /dev/sda2 * 1 1116 8964238+ c Win95 FAT32 (LBA) fdisk /dev/sdb: =============== Disk /dev/sdb: 255 heads, 63 sectors, 1111 cylinders Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 bytes Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/sdb1 4 20 136552+ 82 Linux swap /dev/sdb3 * 21 1111 8763457+ 83 Linux /dev/sdb4 1 3 24066 83 Linux ls -al /boot ============ insgesamt 14501 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 251348 Dez 17 1999 System.map -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 257402 Aug 2 22:25 System.map-2.2.16 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 271235 Aug 2 22:04 System.map-2.2.16-SMP -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 512 Sep 20 13:57 boot.0200 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 512 Dez 16 1999 boot.0800 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 512 Sep 8 00:42 boot.0813 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 612 Jul 29 16:28 chain.b.20001019 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 354796 Okt 19 01:50 initrd -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 354788 Okt 19 01:50 initrd.suse lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 14 Sep 20 13:45 lilo.conf -> /etc/lilo.conf -rwx------ 1 root root 4943 Dez 16 1999 make_kernel -rw------- 1 root root 31744 Sep 9 13:53 map -rw------- 1 root root 178 Sep 20 13:47 message -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 4198129 Dez 17 1999 modules.SMP.taz -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 5797308 Dez 17 1999 modules.STD.taz -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 620 Jul 29 16:28 os2_d.b -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 808852 Okt 19 01:50 vmlinuz -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 842325 Sep 9 13:50 vmlinuz.SMP -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 716916 Dez 17 1999 vmlinuz.STD -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 47082 Aug 2 22:22 vmlinuz.autoconf.h -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 808852 Okt 19 01:50 vmlinuz.suse -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 126 Aug 2 22:22 vmlinuz.version.h /etc/lilo.conf ============== initrd=/boot/initrd append="vga=0x0301" boot=/dev/sdb3 vga=normal read-only prompt timeout=100 image = /boot/vmlinuz root = /dev/sdb3 label = linux other = /dev/sda2 label = DOS table = /dev/sda YAST: Fehler bei Installation von LILO: ======================================= Der folgende Text enthält die Ausgabe des LILO- Kommandos. Hallo, DI Harald ARNOLD wrote:

Fehler. boot.b ist der eigentliche bootcode von LILO, als der Code der in den MBR geschrieben wird. Ohne den laeuft nix. Also hol dir aus dem lilo rpm ein neues boot.b.
Warning: /dev/sdb3 is not on the first disk
Das ist nur, weil sdb3 aktiv gesetzt ist, kannst du ignorieren.
open /boot/boot.b: No such file or directory
