Fehlermeldung beim Mounten
Hallo, ich habe nach einer Rettungsaktion meiner erweiterten Dos-Partition D: (FAT 16) nun ein Problem beim Mounten dieses logischen Laufwerks. Die Fehlermeldung lautet: VFS: Can't find a valid MSDOS filesystem on dev 03:05 Hier kurz einige Angaben zu meiner Konfiguration: HD: 2,1 GB C: (Primaer): 500 MB (Erweitert): D: 500 MB E: 300 MB Ext2: 700 MB Beim erneuten Installieren von Linux habe ich im FDisk-Programm faelschlicherweise das logische LW (D: mit FAT 16) statt die erweiterte Partition markiert als ich die Option <Anlegen> waehlte. Somit habe ich vermutlich die Partitionstabelle des log. LW gelöscht. Bei einem Rettungsversuch mit einem Sharewareprogramm (GR Disk Utility) gelang es mir, einen neuen Bootsektor fuer D: zu schreiben und somit die Daten wiederzubekommen. Leider erkennt Linux diese wiedergewonnene Partition (hda5) nicht und reagiert mit der obigen Fehlermeldung. Bevor ich irgendetwas an der Partitionierung mache, würde ich mir die Partitionstabelle notieren. Dazu auf der Kommandozeile (als root) Žfdisk -lŽ eingeben und alles notieren. Wichtig sind die Zylindergrenzen und der Typ der Partitionen, da man anhand dieser Daten, mit fdisk (nur Linux-FDISK verwenden !) die Partitionstabelle neu erstellen kann, ohne daß Daten verloren gehen.

Mit ŽAnlegenŽ kann normalerweise keine Partition gelöscht werden, da nur der unpartitionierte Bereich, dafür angeboten wird. Ich hätte da eher die Funktion ŽTyp setzenŽ (F3) im Verdacht, aber solche Fehler lassen sich leicht rückgängig machen, wenn auch nicht aus YAST.

Derartige Programme sind mit Skepsis zu betrachten, da sie manchmal mehr Schaden als Nutzen anrichten.

Ich würde die wichtigen Daten aus D: retten (so weit das noch möglich ist) und die Partition unter DOS neu formatieren. Aber nicht DOS-FDISK verwenden (außer in Ausnahmefällen, um den MBR neu zu schreiben). Das ist auf gut deutsch alles Wurst, was Du unterm DOS mit beliebigen Programmen siehst. Einzig relevant ist ein 'fdisk -l' am Linux-Prompt. Wenn Du Deine Partition da wiedererkennst, kannst Du pruefen ob's denn wirklich hda5 ist. Falls nicht, passt Du einfach die /etc/fstab an.

Erst wenn die Partition wirklich noch da ist und hda5 heisst, aber KEIN Filesystem erkennen laesst, solltest Du unruhig werden.
