Ich benutze seit jeher Lilo und kann nichts schlechtes sagen. Allerdings kann ich mangels Erfahrungen überhaupt nichts über loadlin sagen. Ich denke, aber, daß das Deinem persönlichen Geschmack überlassen bleibt.
Wer neben Linux, anderen UNIXen und evtl NT noch DOS/Windows95 einsetzt, wird mit loadlin allein nicht recht gluecklich. Bekanntlich muss man im DOS fuer drei Programme viermal booten. Das ergibt ein DOS-Bootmenue mit verschiedenen Konfigurationen. Dem per LoadLin noch gar das Linux beizubringen ist einfach. Im LiLo mehrere DOS-Konfigurationen auseinanderzuhalten, scheint mir unmoeglich. Und ein Hintereinander verschiedener Boot- Manager (LiLo fuer Lx/Dos und dann [menu] fuer EMS/XMS/pur) ist nicht sonderlich toll. Was ich noch vermisse, ist das Booten nicht nur aus Imagefiles, sondern von Devices auch aus LoadLin -- dann haette man ein huebsches Menue mit Rollbalken, das man auch den Nutzern anbieten kann, die mit dem LiLo-Prompt nicht so viel anfangen koennen (Liste erst auf Anforderung oder die message muss gepflegt werden, Schreiben eines Namen statt Auswahl einer Option, etc). -- If you don't understand or are scared by any of the above ask your parents or an adult to help you. -- Um aus der Liste ausgetragen zu werden, eine Mail an majordomo@suse.de schicken, mit dem Text: unsubscribe suse-linux
