Fax-Server fuer Windows Clients
Ich will für einen Freund einen Faxserver unter Linux einrichten, auf den er und weitere Familienangehörige von Windows9x Clients aus zugreifen sollen. Da diese Sektion im Handbuch in der Hinsicht nicht sonderlich aussagekräftig ist, mir momentan auch kein Modem für Versuche zur Verfügung steht und ich nicht endlos am Rechner meines Freundes herumprobieren möchte, frage ich mal in die Runde: Wer hat sowas schon eingerichtet, was für Software wurde dabei auf dem Server (HylaFax, SuSEfax?) und den Clients installiert und woher bekommt man die? Wie komfortabel ist das? Kann man das auch nicht so bedarften Benutzern (Administration sollte für meinen Freund kein Problem sein, aber die anderen Benutzer sollen nicht zu viel Aufwand haben) zumuten? Ankommende Faxe sollten über ein Windowsprogramm (oder Browser) zu lesen sein (gern zum Beispiel auch über Apache als Webseiten), dazu soll auch noch Faxversand aus Windows-Applikationen (z.B. Word) möglich sein (als Druckertreiber?). Ich würde mich über Hinweise und Beispielkonfigurationsskripte sehr freuen. Danke! Server: Hylafax + Modem http://www.hylafax.org Ich verwende die Version die bei Suse 6.2 dabei ist und habe mit Hilfe des Handbuchs Hylafax installiert. (Modem: Creatix 28,8) WinClient: WHFC http://www.transcom.de/whfc/ Damit habe ich auch einen Druckertreiber installiert und man kann aus Word heraus faxen. Zum Empfang hab ich noch nichts gutes realisiert. Es ist aber Weiterleitung per Mail möglich. Hallo Tobias! Um gleich auf deine Fragen einzugehen. Ich aheb hier seit ca. zwei Jahren so eine Konfiguration, wie du sie beschreibst am laufen. Selbst meine Eltern können das benutzen, und das will was heißen. Als Serversoftware nehme ich Hylafax. Dieses richtest du wie im Handbuch beschrieben ein. Damit ist die Installation unter Linux schon fertig. Für Win holst du dir whf. Jetzt musst du nur noch eine Postscript Drucker installieren, und schon kann das faxen losgehen. Bei weiteren Fragen schicke mir ne PM.
