[SuSE 9.0] T-DSL funktioniert bis zum 24-std. disconnect
Hi Leute, hab eine neue Kiste mit SuSE 9.0 versorgt und hab nun ein klitzekleines Problem mit T-DSL Es funktioniert alles wunderprächtig bis zum 24 Stunden disconnect der Telekom. Die Logfile meint: Nov 27 21:45:35 vcis pppd[1195]: LCP terminated by peer Nov 27 21:45:35 vcis pppd[1195]: Setting MTU to 1492. Nov 27 21:45:35 vcis pppd[1195]: Couldn't increase MRU to 1500 Nov 27 21:45:35 vcis modify_resolvconf: restored /etc/resolv.conf.saved.by.pppd.ppp0 to /etc/resolv.conf Nov 27 21:45:36 vcis ip-down: Warning: detected activated squid, enabling FW_SERVICE_SQUID! Nov 27 21:45:36 vcis ip-down: You still have to allow tcp port 3128 on internal, dmz and/or external. Nov 27 21:45:37 vcis pppd[1195]: Connection terminated. Nov 27 21:45:37 vcis pppd[1195]: Connect time 1440.0 minutes. Nov 27 21:45:37 vcis pppd[1195]: Sent 463595357 bytes, received 640792467 bytes. Nov 27 21:45:37 vcis pppd[1195]: Doing disconnect Nov 27 21:45:39 vcis SuSEfirewall2: Firewall rules successfully set from /etc/sysconfig/SuSEfirewall2 Nov 27 21:45:39 vcis pppd[1195]: Script /etc/ppp/ip-down finished (pid 29130), status = 0x0 Nov 27 21:45:39 vcis pppd[1195]: Exit. So weit so gut. In Yast ist Dial on demand aktiviert und trotzdem schaltet der pppd offensichtlich einfach ab. Nach einem rcnetwork restart funktioniert alles wie's soll; allerdings nur 24 Stunden :) Hatte jemand ein ähnliches Problem? Cu Steffen

Ja, ich bin bei Arcor, und die Art und Weise, wie die Arcor Gegenstelle meine Verbindung trennt, laesst meinen pppd auch fast immer Seppuku begehen. Er loggt dann noch "tcflush failed: Input/Output error" und verstirbt. Abhilfe schafft mir folgende Cron-Zeile: * * * * * test -f ~/flag-files/dont-call-pon || ps -A | grep [p]ppd || sudo pon dsl-provider In deinem Fall heisst es dann wohl eher "sudo rcnetwork restart". -- Have fun, Peter

Warum trennst du nicht die DSL-Verbindung alle 24h (CRON) selber und wählst dich dann mittels CRON wieder neu ein? So mache ich es. Gruss Andy
