Hallo Leute, ich komme nicht dahinter wie ich meine CPU temperatur auslese. Ich habe einen SMBus adaper PIIX4 mit einem Winbond W83782D chip beides laut Doku unterstütz aber an die Werte komme ich nicht ran... Wenn ich sensors-detect starte geht alles gut bis die SMBus adapter geprobt werden, da meiner dann: Can't open /dev/i2c[-/]0 Kann ich da nachhelfen? Hat jemand einen Tip? Es geht weiter mit dem proben des ISA bus (auch unterstütz) aber auch hier ein Problem. Trying address 0x0290 W83782D... Failed Am Ende sagt sensors-detect mir dann das ich /etc/modules.conf erweitern soll. Und Treiber laden soll aber wenn ich dann GKrellm starte sehe ich immer noch nicht. Vielleicht stehe ich ja auf meiner Leitung. Kann mir jemand weiterhelfen? Danke Michael

Hast Du Dir lmsensors von der Projektseite geholt oder benutzt Du die schon von SuSE in den Kernel integrierten Module (dann natürlich das lmsensors Paket installieren). Im ersteren Fall müßtest Du wohl auch das i2c-Paket von der Projekthomepage installieren und kompilieren. Da SuSE schon Treibermodule mitbringt, hast Du damit aber die Module doppelt drin, und zwar an verschiedenen Stellen unter /lib/modules... Ich habe die SuSE-Module nochmal durch kopieren der selbstkompilierten Module übergebügelt.

Hast Du in /dev die i2c-Devices? Bei mir existieren i2c-0 bis i2c-31. Die Rechte müßten auf rw------ root.root stehen. Damit ist auch klar, das sensors-detect wohl nur als root funtkioieren dürfte.
Ich habe das SuSE Paket Installiert, sonst nichts extra.

Ich lade die Module, sensors-detect hat es mir so verraten, manuell in der /etc/init.d/boot.local die Module i2c-isa und w83781d und zwar so: modprobe i2c-isa && modprobe w83781d Per lsmod abgefragt erscheinen folgende geladene Module i2c-core i2c-isa i2c-proc w83781d In meiner modules.conf steht für char-major-89 die i2c-dev drin, habe ich aber nicht manuell eingetragen, muß von SuSE sein. i2c-dev wird auch nicht geladen, weil nicht notwendig in meiner Situation; hatte es früher mal, aber dann auch manuell eingetragen. Beim sensors-detect ist es wohl wichtig, daß keine Module schon geladen sind; die i2c etc-Module natürlich andere nicht damit zusammenhängende Module sind davon nicht betroffen.

Warum noch sensors-detect, wenn sensors die richtigen Werte zeigt. In diesem Fall müßten doch auch die Module geladen sein. Was sagt lsmod? Bei Dir existieren die Sensordateien in /proc/sys/sensors/<chipname>? Diese Dateien nutzt gkrellm, was Du in der Konfigurationsmaske der Sensoren in gkrellm auch oben sehen müßtest: Oben steht /proc/sys/sensors das Unterverzeichnis (chipname) und dann die Dateien darin in den einzelnen Sensorzeilen. Wichtig ist, das für Temperatur und Lüfter unbedingt die reservierten Bezeichner mb, cpu0 bzw. cpu1 benutzt werden. Dann stehen die Werte in den entsprechenden Meters. Sollen diese Werte in eigenem Meter erscheinen sind den reservierten Namen ein _ voranzustellen. Mehr fällt mir jetzt auch nicht mehr ein. Mehr fällt mir jetzt auch nicht mehr ein. Hoffe es hilft. Wenn ich bei mir _ vor den Namen setzte passiert garnichts.Was hast du eingestellt,das es in einem eigenem Meter zu sehen ist? Bei laufen CPU Temperatur und Lüfter1 ;und Mainboard Temp. und Lüfter 2 zusammen auf einem Meter.
